Pistol BASICS: 2 modules plus 1 short module "Weapons technology"

Have you just obtained your WBK and want to learn the basics of gun handling and accurate shooting?

You've been shooting a few times, but you're not happy with your shots and don't know where to start to improve?

Then you will be able to take a lot away from this series of courses and will be able to approach your next visits to the shooting range with a plan.

The modules can be booked individually, you can join at any time or catch up on modules.

Short module: Weapons technology

(Appointment: always 1h before module 1)

Here you will be explained and shown again how standard handguns work and how to operate them. Loading, unloading, disassembling, troubleshooting, cleaning and similar things that deal with the technical side of gun handling are covered here. How does the safety work, what trigger systems are there, when is the weapon armed, when is it safe, and much more.

You can also bring your own weapon if you have questions about how it works or want to familiarize yourself with it.

Dummy cartridges are included and can be kept by the participant.

Module 1: Grip technique, stance, recoil control

For many shooters, coping with and getting used to recoil (and the sound of the shot) is one of the biggest initial challenges, although recoil is not usually perceived as unpleasant. Due to discomfort or sometimes subconscious tendencies to want to control the recoil during firing, shots are often missed, no matter how clean the sight picture, trigger operation, breathing, stance, grip technique, etc. were beforehand.

The result is hits that for the most part drift significantly downwards and towards the support hand side.

This is why Module 1 starts here first, before the nuances of precise shot placement are dealt with in Module 2.

Module 2: Precise shot placement

Here you can find out what is important for accurate shooting. Which aspects are important, which are controversial, which are misunderstood and which are almost irrelevant.

You will be given knowledge and exercises that will allow you to gradually improve your precision yourself with a manageable amount of ammunition and time.

If you tend to have frequent downward slips and slips to the support hand side, module 1 is recommended first!

With adjustable sights (rear sight and red dot) the zeroing can be checked beforehand on request. Please let us know in advance!
